About Modern Materials, Inc.

Rochester location in North-Central Indiana provides easy shipping access to all points in the upper Midwest. Modern Materials' solid growth is due to a commitment to improvement and customer service. The organization is characterized by extreme flexibility in quantity variation without quality variation.

Our Newest Powder Line in action: We utilize a heavy-duty overhead conveyer (80 lbs per drop; one drop every 6 inches), a roll-on-roll-off stainless steel booth with both manual and automatic guns, and a 30 foot, convection-current, gas fired curing oven.

We operate several cellular-production-style lines. The oven shown here is a part of one of our teflon application cells.

In contrast, we also maintain a fully operational job shop complete with three liquid spray booths and the jumbo powder booth shown here.

We have two cleaning lines like the one shown at left and a third, larger line. Each cleaning line utilizes several batch-immersion-style chemical tanks and at least one high-pressure rinse station. We prefer to do all of our phosphating in this manner as opposed to using fully-automated spray lines. By using batch-immersion we are able to raise the temperature of each part we phosphate and clean it much more effectively than if we simply sprayed the parts with chemical.

Comment:  We discharge zero waters from our phosphate lines and other processes to the city sewer. Instead, we collect all of our process waters and eliminate them through evaporation.
