   With change always on the horizon, Modern Materials, Inc. has acquired the capability to provide new coatings for new applications.  Modern Materials, Inc. has several FDA and EPA approved coatings to offer, and now offers a new coating that can kill bacteria on contact. 

   As one of the largest job-shop coaters in the state, Modern Materials, Inc. has the capability to custom engineer coatings in order to meet the unique needs of our customers.  With such a list of services offered, the only question left to ask is “Are you putting us on”?  

 

 

Hi-Tech Finishes Conventional Finishes

  • HE0AMB Sky White:  Anti-microbial.  Registered by EPA as a preservative and bacteriostatic agent for use in treated articles under 40 CFR 152.25a.  A limited number of colors are available.   Film thickness:  typically .0015 to .004”.

  • HE0101:  An FDA compliant fluorocarbon coating.   Uses a free flowing thermoplastic powder rich in PTFE.   Will protect against corrosion and offers unexcelled release characteristics.  Even Super Glues will not adhere to its surface.   Black is the only color available.

  • HE0218: An FDA compliant Fluorocarbon coating.  A thermoset liquid coating rich in PTFE.   Has excellent release properties and reduces friction by nearly 95%.  A trademark Impreglon process which allows the PTFE to penetrate the surface of Metals.  

  • HE500P:  An FDA approved thermoplastic coating (PVF2).   Offers good release properties, excellent abrasion resistance and durability.   Can be readily machined.   Available in Black, White, Green, and Blue.  Will protect against nearly all acids and Alkalines.    

 

 As a full service coating company, Modern Materials offers a full line of liquid and powder coatings.   Parts up to 10’ and weighing 3,500 pounds can be processed with ease.  Modern Materials, Inc. also custom engineers coatings to meet customer specifications.
